I haven't figured out how to handle typing shift+insert or use any key combinations which require the Application (menu) key, yet. The lack of Insert and Application (menu) keys is a bit of a pain as well.

I have found that there are certain common key combinations which are a bit harder to type quickly, cd for instance, since the keyboard enforces proper typing and the keys are hit with the same finger. They're backwards by default (the up key is on the left). I ended up remapping the up and down cursor keys to match the J and K movement keys. It is definitely a true mechanical key switch and the small size really hasn't been an issue, mostly due to placement. The backspace key being right under my thumb has been quite useful as well, for obvious reasons.įor any Vim users out there who might be turned off by the small escape key, I haven't found it to be a problem. I'm also getting very comfortable with the meta keys being thumb-activated. On the upside, I absolutely love having the cursor keys all right in the key wells.

All of my coworkers think I'm nuts, but I've been liking it quite a bit so far.
